Im Westen und an der Nordküste der Insel Kreta gibt es einige Fundstellen für schöne Quarzkristalle und diverse Begleitmineralien wie Albit, Epidot, Axinit oder Rutil in alpinotypen Klüften. Als Besonderheiten wurden auch einzigartige Fadenquarzkristalle gefunden.

In the west and on the north coast of the island of Crete there are some locations for beautiful quartz crystals and various accompanying minerals like albite, epidote, axinite or rutile in alpino-type clefts. Unique Faden-Quartz specimens were also found here.
